Dear Parents/Guardians,
Beatty elementary, middle, and high school, as part of compliance with Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title 1, part A, sends this notice to advise you of the following information:
Your student has been taught for four or more weeks by an individual who has not, as of yet, met the highly qualified teacher requirements. It is our intention to fill the position with a teacher who has attained the “Highly Qualified” requirements as described by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) as soon as possible.
Please know that your child is still being taught the required state standards for the respective subject areas, regardless of the long-term substitute status of the staff member.
